This March, Singapore-based, American fashion designer and stylist Neima Sitawi will open her home to host two surprise artists at the famed OH! Emerald Hill art tour. Neima will share her haven of creativity and inspiration by inviting visitors into her private home studio in collaboration with the OH! Open House non-profit to bring architecture, history, art and design to the public. The A-List, Singapore’s essential arts and culture guide, recently featured the exciting project inviting guests to discover the story of Emerald Hill through secret tours, art, and performances in homes and private spaces.
Emerald Hill, a former nutmeg plantation, is a perfect illustration of the relationship between botany and commodities that circulate the Empire. But there is a dark side too. Scientific exploration exists alongside exploitation of new lands. Valuable crops are stolen, smuggled, and monopolised. The colonial times still haunt us. Explore, collect, and piece together your very own story of Emerald Hill in colonial Singapore.

OH! is a non-profit art organisation that began in 2009. Formally an art walk, OH! brings art out of museums and galleries by offering heritage walking tours that connect visitors, artists and neighbourhoods through the art of storytelling.
